
About The Artist
An award winning artist, Susan is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Honors.
Her major in Medical Illustration included the study of Gross Anatomy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.
After years of employment in medical illustration and corporate advertising, she became a self-employed fine arts painter. Susan has exhibited in galleries and shows throughout New York and New England, garnering several awards including the Diane Bernhardt Silver Medal Award for Excellence in Pastel. She continues to paint and maintain her work with galleries.
She is a member of the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York City, a member of the Portrait Society of America, a Signature member of the Pastel Society of America, a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, a Sustaining Associate of the American Watercolor Society and is a member of The View Arts Center in Old Forge, New York.
Susan advanced her artistic skills under the guidance of Milford Zornes, Charles Reid and John Traynor.
Susan has studios in Queensbury and Diamond Point, New York.
